Tax Assessor-Collector Mike Sullivan is proud to announce that the Auto Division has processed more than $100 million in automobile credit/debit card transactions since introducing credit card machines in 2013.
“I’m very excited that we’ve processed more than 800,000 automobile credit/debit card transactions, totaling more than $100 million,” said Sullivan. “Taking this office into the 21st century was a promise I made four years ago. The investments we are making will greatly benefit all Harris County residents.”
In addition to launching credit/debit cards, Tax Assessor-Collector Mike Sullivan has implemented the TxDMV One Sticker program, successfully executed the webDEALER program, extended the renewal period for auto registrations at grocery stores, installed more than 400 new computers and upgraded software to improve service as well as productivity.
“My goal at the Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office is to provide the best customer service experience possible. Investing to improve our operations, increasing efficiencies and updating technology will do just that," said Sullivan.
All Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office branch locations accept cash, check plus all major credit/debit cards for automobile transactions, which include registration stickers, license plates, automobile titles and temporary disability placards. Residents can also renew automobile registration stickers online, by mail or at more than 200 renewal locations at partner grocery stores, in addition to participating AAA offices.
